The return of futurama?
Round up the gang, it's rumored that Matt Groening, the creator of the Simpsons and Futurama, may be firing up the animation machine for a relaunch of one of the funniest shows on syndicated TV - Futurama.
If you have never had a chance to catch the show, it's on Cartoon Network at 10pm CST. Check it out here. It's heeee-haw-larious...

Japan Rejects XBOX 360
Sure the XBOX 360 is a rare console in NA and Europe but it isn't doing so well in Japan. According to Joystiq only 40%, 62,000 units out of 150,000, have been sold. It seems that the Japanese are waiting for the Blu-ray formatted PS3. It is also been rumored that Microsoft will be supplying more units for Japan while shortages are going on everywhere else in the world.

Obi Wan never told you...
This is one of the cooler sites that I have seen lately...even though this site was released in May. It's 20 questions with big daddy Darth Vader. Some funny twists to the questions and voiceovers too. If you stump Vader, the King comes out and whispers to him - funny stuff! I want a development project like this, and he's always right
"The force is strong with this one..."
Burger King has some of the best viral advertising out there created by Crispin Porter + Bogusky one of the nation's leading ad camps. Too bad every campaign can't be as robust as the Star Wars crossovers.

the "Hammer" group
I know that this is about a week late, but hey, who's counting yeah? If you didn't watch it last Friday, the 2006 World Cup draw was held in the host country of Deutschland (that would be Germany for those playing at home) and to the dismay of American fans, we got hosed with the group pairings...
Group A Germany Costa Rica Poland Ecuador | Group B England Paraguay Trinidad/Tobago Sweden | Group C Argentina Ivory Coast Serbia/Montenegro Netherlands | Group D Mexico Iran Angola Portugal |
Group E Italy Ghana United States Czech Republic | Group F Brazil Croatia Australia Japan | Group G France Switzerland Korea Republic Togo | Group H Spain Ukraine Tunisia Saudi Arabia |
We have 3 of the top 12 ranked teams in the world in our group (Italians, the Czechs, and the USA). It's going to be a great first round - if we make it out we're going to go a long way, ummm....until we hit Brazil in the second round. Can you detect my glaring sarcasm here?
"Heidi Klum has sent us to hell"
We're all familiar with the beautiful and often misguided German supermodel. She was the event's eyecandy for all of the worlds viewing enjoyment, all she had to do was pull a couple of balls out of a bucket. Check out what zany hyjinks ensue when a supermodel goes bad...

Baby News...
Just wanted to give everyone a baby update. We're entering the 19th week with the little kiddo. We'll find out what the sex is later this month. Will it be a boy? Will it be a girl? What's you thought?

Forget about Superman....
It's X3 time baby! I don't even think that I need to write anything here. But for those keeping score, here's a list of the mutants that make their big screen debuts beyond cameos -- The Beast, Kitty Pryde, Angel, Juggernaut, Callisto and Jean Grey as 'the Phoenix'. This is going to be bloody brilliant...

The Return of the blue tights...
If you got a chance to catch the new Harry Potter movie over the last weeks, you would have seen the new 'teaser trailer' for Superman Returns. After watching it again on the website, it looks to be done properly. It has the same voiceover from the Godfather himself, Marlon Brando, that was used for Jor-El (Supe's Kryptonian dad) in the original movie. Same music too, which made me warm and fuzzy. The only hokey thing that I could tell is that Louis Lane has a kid. That's kind of retarded if you ask me. Why do that to the storyline? Anyway, Lex Luther is played by Kevin Spacey, and Louis is played by Kate Bosworth so it's got the star power.
Be sure to check it out this Memorial Day 2006...

Kick Ass looking 2006 Winter olympics medals
Here's a look at the new Olympic medals for the Turino games this coming February...yep that's right, already the Olympics again. I feel old ;)
Turin medals have hole in the middle
TURIN, Italy (AP) -- No, athletes at the Winter Games are not being rewarded with gold doughnuts -- it just looks that way.
The new medal design for the Olympics in Turin, unveiled Wednesday, features a hole in the center of the metal disc.
While it may appear as though biathletes have been using them for target practice, the medals are actually meant to represent the open space of an Italian piazza, or city square.
The medals have the Turin logo on one side and images from various sports and disciplines on the other. The red silk ribbon that goes around the winner's neck is looped through the hole in the center.
"They are marvelous medals, they represent what we expect from Italy -- creativity," said Jean-Claude Killy, chairman of the IOC coordination commission.
Eight people collaborate in the 10-hour process to make each medal. Some 1,026 medals will be made for the Olympics, plus 648 Paralympics medals and 35,000 commemorative medals. The Turin Games run from Feb. 10 to Feb 26.
