I'm so fat, I cut myself and soy sauce came out...

Once again, Thanksgiving has come and gone, and I have eaten myself back that 10 pounds I lost this year.

No, really. All I did since Wednesday night last week has been eating. Thankgiving day, turkey, turkey, mashed taters and more turkey. Friday, we ate at Jasmin's, where I started off with some sushi, and finished with the Mongolian beef. Saturday, we ate Damgoode Pies - had an 8" 'Stuffy' Hog with pink sauce (By the way - 2nd best Pizza I ever had next to Shakespeare's at MIZZOU). Yesterday, we ate with my folks at Kobe Japanese Steakhouse, more sushi, steak, fried rice AND shrimp. The whole time eating pecan & fudge pie like it was candy....ummmm, wait it kinda is though - isn't it?

BUUUUURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRPPP!

Damn, it's time to hit the treadmill again. I gotta run a quarter marathon in 3 months...

Let the madness begin...

Two XBOX360's taken in Virginia armed robbery

Consoles taken at gunpoint just hours ago; thief apprehended, consoles recovered.

A Stafford, Virginia, Electronics Boutique store was the scene of an armed robbery this morning. According to sources, the perpetrator made off with two Xbox 360 systems, forcing the store manager to hand them over at gun point.

Sources tell GameSpot the local police responded quickly, cordoned off the store, and immediately pursued the thief. The thief was apprehended shortly afterwards.

Because the police consider the heist an ongoing criminal investigation, store employees were reluctant to discuss details of the robbery. But as of press time, the store is open, and all systems are back to normal.

"We're all fine and everything is cool," a store staffer told GameSpot.

Still here...I'm getting really bad about blogging lately

Just wanted to say hey. Haven't heard anything of late on the James Keown trial, but I do know that he's pleaded innocent.

More later...same cool stuff to share.

Holy crap. You think that you know somebody....

Wow. This really has me upset. I just found out that one of my good friends from high school was arrested yesterday for allegedly murdering his wife in Massachusetts last September.

James Keown, I would venture to say, was one of my close buddies for the 4 years I attended Jefferson City High School. He was one of those guys that you would never really worry about as you knew he was on the right track.

He obviously wasn't.

He poisoned his wife. Spiked her Gatorade with flipping ANTIFREEZE for a measly $250,000 life insurance policy. The Boston Herald is reporting that he alledgedly lied about school at Harvard, sucked the couples savings dry and slowly killed Julie over time.

I knew Julie, I had just recently seen both of them at our 10 year reunion a few years ago. She was a good person.

I'm stunned. More to come on this I am sure...

New form of Hydrogen?

My buddy Alex just emailed me this link. Seems like a scientist has figured out how to make a new variant of the simple Hydrogen molecule. Think back to high school for a second with me, remember that hydrogen is the simplest of atoms as it has only 1 electron moving around it's nucleus. Conventional science says that the distance between the electon's orbit and the nucleus has to be the same everywhere. This new research suggests that he can manipulate the electron closer to the nucleus, therefore when the atom is split, it creates 1000 times more energy and the waste matter created is water.

Now, if you undserstand that, you also understand that this is a cheap alternative fuel that will take dependency off of petrol based energy and transit. This would be huge. Let's all hope that he's right.

...What has much of the physics world up in arms is Dr Mills's claim that he has produced a new form of hydrogen, the simplest of all the atoms, with just a single proton circled by one electron. In his "hydrino", the electron sits a little closer to the proton than normal, and the formation of the new atoms from traditional hydrogen releases huge amounts of energy.

This is scientific heresy. According to quantum mechanics, electrons can only exist in an atom in strictly defined orbits, and the shortest distance allowed between the proton and electron in hydrogen is fixed. The two particles are simply not allowed to get any closer.

According to Dr Mills, there can be only one explanation: quantum mechanics must be wrong. "We've done a lot of testing. We've got 50 independent validation reports, we've got 65 peer-reviewed journal articles," he said. "We ran into this theoretical resistance and there are some vested interests here. People are very strong and fervent protectors of this [quantum] theory that they use."...

Heeeeeeeeere's Johnny!

Wow. It's been a while since my last post. But be assured that now I'm back from the land of work stress for a brief while and plan on making some impact on the blogosphere again.

Let's recap the last two weeks shall we? I'll give the abridged version for all of you kids today...

If you have never been to Athens, Georgia, you are really missing one of the South's most relaxing and beautiful cities. Home of the University of Georgia, and my brother-in-law, we drove the miserable 10 hours between Little Rock and Athens twice in a 3 day period to attend the 2005 UGA Homecoming football game against the Razorbacks. It was a weekend that I will not soon forget, my body is still thinks it has alcohol poisoning 2 weeks later...Fun as hell and the Hogs almost pulled off the upset on the #4 Bulldogs. All I have to say to that is GEAUX TIGERS ;)

We got back from the trip and made our way to the Baby doctor on Tuesday, all is well with our pregnancy and we got to hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time - let me tell you, if you have never experienced that, it's one of the few moments in my life that I can actually define as amazing and life changing...

Back to work, over the remainder of the last 2 weeks, I have cranked out 4 new website designs (4 HUGE designs too). My brain feels like creative afterbirth. Kicker is I still have 2 more to do this week, how I'm going to pull that one off - I dunno...?

To the home front - Grass. No, not the kind you smoke, the kind you plant. In my supreme wisdom, I planted the wrong kind of grass seed earlier this year. After the 100 degree days of late summer, our yard looked like a desert. Just so you know Rye grass FRIES, no erupts into flame, in the Arkansas sun. Saturday, I spent the afternoon raking up the old stuff, putting new sod down and overseeding Bermuda.

OK, now you're caught up. I'll have more soon...
