I'm just your average, everyday, married, thirty-something, right wing, computer programming, 2 dog-having, righteous dude in the Southlands. I love to spend time with my wife and dogs, love electrinic gizmos, watch old school sci-fi & still manage to play some soccer on the weekends. I'm a progressive geek, if you would.

LSU Football and a Moment of Reflection

Yesterday - Whew, where to start? I think that the 10+ hours of Jack and Coke intake coupled with the precise and total anniahlation of the Arkansas Razorbacks by the LSU Tigers has left me a bit dazed today. It really was a great day for football. The sun was out at times and for the day after Thnaksgiving it was a breezy 59 degrees. The after party downtown was even better though. As a New Orleans native, there was just something that seemed so right about the hoard of Cajun righteousness that invaded Little Rock last night. We went to a local drinking establishment to see the band that played our wedding and together with family and friends - we proceeded to get crazy :)

The Smell of Coffee

Isn't it funny how things come rushing back to you in an instant? I was sitting in bed this morning trying to wake up. The sun was coming in the blinds to my back and I had a flashback to when I was a kid.

I would stay at my grandparents house and when I would wake up, the smell of coffee would be circulating the house. I would go into the living room and look into the kitchen and the sun would be coming in like it was this morning thru the kitchen window. My Grandma would be sitting at their bar reading the Times-Picayune and would always look up and smile at me and make me Eggo waffles.

Needless to say, I awoke with a big smile today.

Poke me, doth gravy not come out?

Ahhh...the night of Thanksgiving. I think that I have gained 7 pounds in one day. We went to eat out at my Uncle-in-law's duck lodge with family. Had smoked turkey, had fried turkey, stuffing, taters, a new personal fave cheese grits, cake, pie, and pepto.

Mmmmmmmmmmmm!

Open for Business

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! After spending countless days reading my cousin's Blog, I have been inspired to start my own. I don't know how often I'll be able to update it and stay up on things, but hey, it's a start for someone who never wrote a paper over 5 pages in college :) Definately more to come...
